- Does this fix anything, or just check?
- For a PDF: check only — see Convert Color Space for the image conversion. For an RGB image, this tool can also hand off to Convert Color Space directly to preview the version.
- Why doesn't this show a numeric equivalent for a Pantone color?
- 's real color values are a licensed, proprietary matching system this site has no rights to reproduce. Inventing an approximate / equivalent would quietly promise an accuracy this can't actually back up, so a named spot color is reported by name only, always.
- How does this tell a CMYK JPEG from an RGB one?
- By reading the file's actual encoded — the JPEG APP14 "Adobe" marker and an embedded ICC profile's declared color space, the same signals a real image library reads. Never by drawing it to a canvas and inspecting pixels: browsers don't decode JPEGs correctly, so that would confidently misreport the exact files this tool exists to catch.
