FAQ
- How does it know what's background?
- It samples the color at the image's corner and treats whichever of the two traced colors is closest to that as the background, then drops it — leaving only the subject's outline. Works best when your subject doesn't touch the edges of the image.
- Are the paths guaranteed to actually cut correctly?
- Every path is explicitly closed — the tracer's own edge-tracing already produces closed shapes, and this runs the same fixer as Close Open SVG Paths as a final check regardless.
- I want a full-color trace, not a silhouette — is this the right tool?
- Use Image to Vector instead — this one is intentionally simplified to a single cut-ready shape.
